I loved Sedona Sacred Rocks. It was very easy to find, even in the dark, with Google Maps. Self check-in was easy, and my room easily identifiable, with the light on for me. The Mountain Lion room was comfortable and spacious, and I appreciated the refrigerator, the electric kettle and other small appliances, dishware, and flatware, as I'd come directly from the Phoenix airport and was able to make myself a bit to eat. The private patio is perfect for enjoying a quiet breakfast or cup of tea. Ask Meaghan why it's called the Mountain Lion room--it's a cool story. On my first morning, I had a wonderful trail ride with Meaghan and one of the other guests. It had been a couple of years since I'd been on a horse, and Meaghan not only chose the perfect horse for me, Brogan, but she also helped jog my memory on a couple of the finer points, which I appreciated! Upon returning, Rick talked through my list of places to go and things to do with me and provided me some additional recommendations, such as breakfast at Café Jose and dinner at Javelina Cantina. He also mentioned that Elote Café is worth the hour+ wait, and he was right--it's not to be missed! The dogs and cat are sweet and friendly, so if you're an animal lover like I am, you will feel right at home. I only stayed for three nights, and I wish I had had more time there. I didn't see much of the other guests aside from the trail ride, so I also recommend if you're looking for a quiet, private place to rest and recharge. In short, Sedona Sacred Rocks is a wonderful place for a restful and comfortable stay.
Meaghan and Rick, thank you so much for your hospitality. I loved the Mountain Lion room--it was perfect. I felt very much at home and enjoyed the quiet and privacy. Next time I'm in Sedona I'll hope your place is available again! Many thanks, Wendy
